About Bus Speed Test

Bus Speed Test is a free, browser-based tool that turns the phone in your pocket into a live speedometer for whatever vehicle you happen to be riding in — a city bus, an intercity coach, a commuter train, a friend's car, or even a bike or scooter.

We built it because we got tired of squinting at half-broken vehicle displays and wondering "wait, are we actually going that fast?" Your phone already has GPS hardware that's accurate enough to tell you the answer. Bus Speed Test just wraps that data in a clean, customizable dial so the answer is one tap away.

What makes it different

• Customizable. Pick units (km/h, mph, m/s, knots), display style (classic dial, minimal digital, or vintage LCD), and accent color. Your choices are remembered for next time.

How to use it

1. Open busspeedtest.net on your phone.
2. Tap Start Measuring.
3. Allow location access when the browser asks.
4. Watch the dial. That's it.
