Privacy Policy

Bus Speed Test does not collect, store, transmit, or sell your location data. Every GPS reading stays on the device that produced it.

When you press Start Measuring, your browser asks for permission to share your location with the site. If you allow it, your browser provides Bus Speed Test with positional data (latitude, longitude, speed, accuracy, heading) so we can compute the values on the dial.

This information is processed in your browser's memory and discarded when you close the tab. We do not save it to a server. We do not save it to local storage.

We use your browser's localStorageonly to remember your display preferences — unit, theme, accent color, max scale, and smoothing toggle. You can clear these any time by clearing your browser's site data for busspeedtest.net.

Bus Speed Test does not set tracking cookies.

We may use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand which features people use. These analytics do not use cookies and do not capture your IP address, GPS readings, or any personally identifying information.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and is served via standard hosting infrastructure. These services may log basic request information (IP, user agent) as part of normal operation. We don't pass them any data of our own.

If we update this policy, we'll bump the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be called out on the homepage.
